Frequently Asked Questions
What kind of equipment do you use? We use professional, broadcast quality, 3-chip cameras for a more crisp, clear and balanced image. We use natural lighting so you will not be distracted by equipment or our crew. Our goal is to capture events as they happen. We use three different microphone systems. We choose the most compatible system depending on the acoustic qualities of each venue. We can put a wireless mic on the groom to capture even the softest voice while reciting your vows.
Will we be able to hear our vows? Absolutely! By placing a very sensitive lav mic on your Groom's jacket (we make every effort to make sure it is as concealed as possible), you will be assured of the finest audio quality.
Do you interview our guests? We will perform interviews only at the Bride and Grooms request. We feel that putting a camera in someone's face and asking them questions is intrusive and takes away from the importance of your event.
Will you travel? Yes, we will travel just about any where! Travel charges: Your distance from Rosemount, MN (55068): less than 125 miles = no travel charges. 125 - 250 miles = $100.00 charge. More than 250 miles = $200.00 charge.
We want to hire MDR Video - what's next? When you choose MDR Video, give us a call at 651.423.2550 so we can set up a time to meet. Plan on at least 45 minutes so we can get some information from you. We like to get a brief history of your time together, discuss musical tastes, and talk about the timeline of your wedding day. This helps produce a more personal movie that you will cherish forever.
How long does it take to get my movie? Your movie will be done 12 - 16 weeks after filming.
When do I pay? Typically, a 50% deposit is required to secure your date. This will be collected when the contract is signed. The remaining 50%, plus any sales taxes, is due on or before your wedding date. We are willing to discuss other arrangements if necessary. Financing options are also available.
How much time do I have to order copies? FOREVER. We keep your master in a fire proof safe.
May I Cancel? MDR/Video has a 180 - day cancellation policy. If you cancel less than 180 days before your event date, a $500 cancellation fee will be charged. More than 180 days, your deposit will be 100% refunded. This will be spelled out in your contract.
